He is our cosy buddy type who seems a bit quiet and 

reserved at first.

is an Indian motorbike manufacturer and also the oldest motorbike brand still in production in the world. 

 Since 1901 - a LEGEND.

1896 First production of precision parts for bicycles and weapons. The slogan "made like a gun" was based 

             on this  was based on this period and was intended to stand for quality.

1901 The first motorbike was manufactured.

1902 Introduction of a V2 with 300 cm³ and later 350 cm³.

1912 Introduction of a 770 cc V-twin.

1914 Introduction of a 225 cc two-stroke. After the First World War, only two-strokes were produced, 

             until 1921, when they were replaced by the 976 cc V-twin.

1924 to 1928 Introduction of the single-cylinder 350 and the head-controlled 500 cc single-cylinder.

1930 Introduction of the 500 cc four-valve.

1933 First export of the K model with 1140 cm³ abroad.

1933 Start of production of the "Bullet" (projectile) with 250 and 350 cm³.

1935 to 1939 A transport tricycle was built on the basis of the 225 cm³ motorbike with a payload of 3 cwt 

             (150 kg) was built.

1939 a motorbike with a 125 cc two-stroke engine appeared. It was used in the Second World War from 1943 

             under the name  Flying Flea" in airborne operations. After the war, the two-stroke and the two Bullet 

             versions continued to be manufactured.

1953 to 1960, various models exported to the USA were marketed by the "Indian Sales Corporation" under 

             the brand name Indian. marketed under the brand name Indian.

1955 Production of the Bullet was set up in Madras. Parallel Twins continued to be produced in England, for 

             example the for example the 500 Twin from 1949 to 1963, then the 700 Meteor from 1952 to 1962. 

             The Crusader,  built from 1956 to 1966, had a single-cylinder 250 cc engine. The crowning glory was the 

              Interceptor with 750 cm³, a parallel engine with 52.5 hp[2](39 kW).

1970 production in England ended with the Interceptor. In India, the Bullet 350 is becoming increasingly 

             popular popularity. The 500 models were exported.

1984 Royal Enfield India took over the rights and name of Zündapp and produced the mopeds 

             CS-25/CS-50 in Madras until the 1990s.

1994  vehicle manufacturer Eicher Goodearth Ltd, originally a joint venture of Indian 

              importer Goodearth with the now defunct German tractor manufacturer Gebr, 

              Enfield India and renamed it Royal Enfield Motors Limited. 

1999 the rights to the name "Royal Enfield" went to India, so that the motorbikes now no longer had to 

               be officially called Enfield India, but could be called "Royal Enfield" again. Of the Bullet about 35,000 

               units were produced annually.

2000  a new factory was opened, the production quality was increased and a new variant of the 350 was 

              introduced in India.

2005  the new left-hand gear Bullet Elektra 500 was introduced in the UK.

2006 the introduction of new emission regulations (EURO 3) for newly registered motorbikes put an end to 

              the Bullet's history in Europe for the time being the history of the Bullet in Europe. Both for the petrol  

              engines from India as well as for most of the small-series conversions to diesel engines. Since in 

              Europe, less than 5,000 units were imported annually, the Enfield could be registered without any 

              problems until 31 December 2007 with the appropriate without any problems. A definitive possibility 

              of registration until 31 December 2008 was provided by a new and very last exemption. The diesel 

              motorbike manufacturer Sommer was still on the market, but was no longer allowed to work with the 

             were no longer allowed to market with the manufacturer's name "Royal Enfield".

2008 the new models with the new engine with intake manifold injection (Electronic Fuel Injection, 

             EFI) also met the requirements of the EURO 3 emissions standard. The engine was initially used in the 

             models Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Classic EFI and Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Electra EFI.

2011  the Royal Enfield Bullet 500 Standard EFI came onto the market. The Bullet 500 Classic EFI was now 

              also available available in the Military version. 

2012  the "Continental GT" (535 cm³) in the style of a 1960s cafe racer was introduced in Germany at the    

             at the Intermot trade fair.

2016  the "Himalayan" was presented for Europe at the EICMA 2016 in Milan.

2017  they announced a 650cc twin cylinder developed in England.

2018  the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 models were launched.

2021  the Meteor 350 model with a completely newly developed 349 cc engine will be launched in 

             Europe.

2021  the Classic 350 reborn will be introduced in autumn. It replaces the old Bullet.

2022  Hunter 350 - a roadster for novice riders - is presented at the Intermit in Cologne.

2023 The Royal Enfield Super Meteor Cruiser presented at the EICMA in 2022 is launched on the German 

               market in June 2023.   

          

The Bullet 500, which is still produced in India today - a classic long-stroke with 16 to 18 kW (22 to 25 hp) - is now one of the most built motorbikes in the world.

   

The company gained further fame by offering the Bullet with a diesel engine as one of the few diesel production motorbikes. The separate housings for engine and transmission - which were generally common in motorbike construction until the 1960s - made the Bullet the ideal basis for these designs, which combined the original transmission with a retrofitted diesel engine. For example, there was the Taurus 325 diesel model manufactured by Royal Enfield itself, but long since discontinued. The later models made by Beckedorf, Sommer Motorradtechnik and Vahrenkamp are considered the most technically advanced. So far, the Beckedorf equipped with a Lombardini diesel has been produced about 150 times and the Hatz-Sommer diesel or Vahrenkamp diesel about 310 times. Both engines develop about 11 hp (8 kW) and give the motorbikes a top speed of 110 km/h. Source Wikipedia

Born 1969 in Lucerne, the heart of Switzerland.

"Professionally, I have dedicated myself to the hotel industry; love working with & for people.

After a somewhat rough start in life, I soon enjoyed being outdoors: on the farm, in the mountains on foot, on via ferratas or on skis. 

And since 1990, on a motorbike. For a few years now, off-road motorcycling has also been one of my hobbies. But my favourite thing is travelling: many European countries, Australia, North, Central and South America have fed my "travel virus", but I'm still far from having enough. There is too much to see, too much to experience and the encounters with the people of this world are too great.

I have already experienced several road surfaces: Asphalt, gravel, sand, streams, rocks, snow, mud. And unfortunately I've survived a few "injuries": several crashes, diving into water, a broken valve, a broken timing chain, a broken drive chain, a broken alternator.

But I am tough and hope to experience many more adventures.
